Liz began her nursing career in high school by becoming certified as a nursing assistant. Liz received her associates degree in nursing in 2004. Liz worked as a registered nurse for seven years in the medical/surgical and OB departments of a rural hospital in Illinois. She furthered her studies and completed her bachelor's degree in nursing at 2006. In 2007, Liz became an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  A few years later, in 2009, Liz went on to pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University and graduated with a specialty in Midwifery in 2011. Liz then went on to complete her Post-master’s Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013 and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2019. In March of 2021, Liz completed her Doctorate in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University. Liz is certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Liz enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, going for walks, reading non-fiction, and continuing her education.
